lazyplane In a hard market, some employers will not consider anything with less than 2 years. They are swamp with good fit candidates, and those who change jobs frequently will be disadvantage

In a good market, those who job hop will get higher pay and faster rotations. Employers may have not much selections so they will just take the candidate that fits and has the qualities that they want.

Unregistered What kind of potential employer that you prefer: MNC / SME, SI / end-user environment?

It is always easier to jump ship from MNC -> SME and from SI -> end-user. Typically 5 years of relevant experience is required for senior position.

Unregistered With 3 years of experience, you can earn about 40 - 50k per annum working for local SME.

Ask yourself this: does additional experience that you get by staying longer have any market value?

lazyplane Tough questions. Working and studying is tough.
Maybe someone who has went thorough will be in better position to advise.
