CAIA is more recognised in wealth management, and fund-of-funds research. I doubt it helps in Commods trading. |

which part of commds trading do you want to b in? if you want to be a trader - save your time and money. trader needs working knowledge of maths and stats. no cfa or caia or paper needed as long as you know how to bring in the money. broker, operations - in the US you need a series 3 to conduct business with customers software developer - u need c++, c# quant analysts - knowledge of statistical languages, a Msc or PhD at least in quant finance. compliance/AML - knowledge of singapore's financial regulations physical trading - experience with logistics |

r u looking masters in finance? imo i think a program like cfa or caia would be less costly and more flexible (otot study) than an academic one my thought is that cfa is getting "too mainstream" which is why i'm considering to opt for caia instead where i'm interested in commodities, anyone can advise if caia is related to commods trading? |

thinking I wanna study for it too. As i see, this qualification is getting recognised in wealth management. But for IB, fund management and hedge funds, people don't give any credit for it. I am wondering if i should pursue this first or a Masters first. |
