I am system engineer doing sysadmin/windows/unix and alittle of storage/network at big local IT company. Grad from NTU last year and took 1yr contract with 2.5k and i earn 2.6-2.7k per mth now with standby/OT. If I want to find the same job scope at other company , how much can i expect now? 3.5k basic possible? |

Amazed | I pretty amazed at all your starting pay as i've just finished my NS with a local diploma and was offer $2100 starting pay as an IT executive and my friends told me i'm lucky as most are only getting $1800 tops. | |

bro, your situation, similar like me i have 9 years IT exp, employed as a diploma as a IT Specialist in US MNC Felt cheated as need to clean **** when join. Starting pay was 3400 the 2nd year 3520 then 2010 increament now only 3620. I just completed my degree in Jan can achieve a 2nd class upper in BIT i then ask for salary adjustment....and found that they going to increase ,basic by 500 only. I do sysadmin ( Server, network etc) , user support,project managerment, vendor management etc. Im soon going for pmp and itil hope to find next job at 5 to 6k per month at least |

Thanks for your feedback. I feel very demoralised. My job scope covers the role of an IT manager, e.g. manager IT expenditure, system administration, project management, etc. I intend to do a career switch to finance/accounting. |

Depending on what's your job scope. But for 10yrs of experience, i think you're underpaid. Just a guide, I'm a sysadmin with 7yrs of experience earning 85k (excluding standby allowance). |
