You can start by writing in proper structure and spelling. Else come the exam, you may write the same way as you do now due to habit. Pray bear in mind that the exam standards you experienced back then will be vastly different from the current standards. It will be good to buy some assessment books to practice.

What happen if re-take and still D7? Better to do some preparation to at least get the grammar, vocab and writing skills in good shape first before attempting.

BTW, English examination is still pen and paper based without the luxury of spell checker from computer. Preparation and practice are still necessary.
