Unregistered You are not alone. JobsBank is one big silly act put together by the authorities with an incredibly low efficacy of job return for most SG residents here. The Jobsbank hiring is more or less orchestrated behind the scene with the candidates already pre-identified by the employers. So much for drumming up the embarrassing FCF theme loudly to everyone. I like to see MOM publish the statistics of job return for Singaporeans using JobsBank. Now, that is where the hard truth lies

moonlightlover Is it just me or is the response from jobsbank really bad? Well I applied for several jobs that were in line with my experience and interest, no reply from anyone so far though.

A recruiter friend told me that the quality of candidates from jobsbank is very poor. Many ppl anyhow apply.

Unregistered I wonder are there many jobsbank applicants who are just applying for most jobs just for the sake of it without any real interests or fulfilling the job's basic requirements aka applying the jobsfor fun just like in jobstreet?

yes, and the contact details as well!
I think this is to circumvent foreigners looking up the contact details and applygin directly to the employer

part time hire for chinese new year... and i think it is 55000 vacancies, not unique posting. i have seen a jod ad with 450 vacancies which contributes to the total number of vacancies.

i have been monitoring jobs bank for the most of dec and jan due to my work... the number is usually around 50000.

now is the period when employers stop hiring and employees awaiting for bonus.. No quit no hire
