Unregistered A graduate with a 5 month unemployment gap follow by a short term internship is a disaster for the CV... I agree with others who ask you to take up temp/sales/retail jobs first.

Unregistered Won't it make more sense to do temp jobs that are paid by the hour than waste time on some boliao fake internship that dont learn anything?

Retail sector is shortage of manpower now, every outlet is putting out ads to hire retail assistants on $7-$9/hr or $1600+ per month. These jobs seem better paid and provide real exposure to working as long as you are willing to work shift and do some real dirty ops work.

If I'm a hiring manager, I would appreciate people with more real life exp in the retail sector than some graduate guy who cannot get a job and take up some $700 internship doing admin/filing work.

Hi, fyi, i did thought of this, its just that i believe a resume should be a piece of formal document with minimal graphics.

I have just sent so am still awaiting if there would be any replies.

Unregistered TBH now it's the last quarter so there won't be much openings and movements because most people are waiting for their aws.

I feel that if by the end of this month there is no news, you can take up the internship and while you are at it you can still jobhunt at the same time. Firstly, to keep you occupied and try to earn some experience (be it useful or not) and also to earn some allowance.

By the way, did any company get back or offer you any internships?

"Several" agencies is not enough. You need to apply at least 50 jobs that don't need experience every week. Anything less than that is just not enough.

Introvert or not is not the point here - you have no job, what else can you do? A sales job for an introvert is still better than doing odd-jobs in an "internship" in some local SME.

As a rule of thumb, any ad that says need relevant exp you can skip. There's no point cauz firstly they wont consider freshie, secondly even if they do, they not gonna get some SIM guy.

Your strategy is simple, go to all the the job portals you can find and apply for ALL jobs that are willing to accept freshie. Submit your CV to ALL recruit agents.

Every 100 application, you will get 2-3 first round interview. Out of every 10 first round interview, maybe 1-2 will hit 2nd round. Then hopefully you will get an offer eventually. If you work the maths backwards, you should apply for at least 200-300 jobs to have a good chance at getting an offer.

I think at this point you can't afford to be too choosy. More importantly, you should be applying to entry level positions that do not require experience. You shouldn't be trying for any positions that are likely to require experience. As a hiring manager, I will say that you are pretty far down the food chain to be even considered if I truly require someone to hit the ground running. So don't keep banging your head against the wall: it's not what you think you want to do, but what is most likely for you to get hired for.

Unregistered Have you tried applying for sales related roles especially for those SME and startup ? Pay is low but it's better than nothing.
