Actually all recruitment agencies are useless for me. I nv get job through these agencies before even when my friends or relatives intro their agents to me. Yet I got the jobs through direct applications with the companies. Unless you wan part time , it better to go for direct applications, even if you aiming for contract type.

anyway 8hrs is damn short. report at 9 and you're done by 5pm. 8hr jobs that end at 5pm are close to extinct in Singapore now. Anyway I've been to RE before. If you're not the outspoken, go getter sort you're going to get nudged out by your colleagues (and eventually you'll break down and resign yourself) because they only hire alpha-aggressive sort of people there and they constantly look at your bottomline everyday.
Freshies have a common/pooled team target while as you get more senior they will assign you individual targets to meet. and if you don't meet them clearly you're shown the door out.

On the day itself, the agent verbally told me that so long its after the end work time, i am entitled to OT pay rate. I blame myself to be gullible and didnt do the calculation on the spot. Afterall theres nothing i can do about verbal agreement since the contract is sign.
The reason i accepted this offer initially was due to the fact that the agent told me its a convertible position, however on the day reporting to work, i found out that its actually a permanent temp position. Again, i blame myself to be so naive.
Hope you guys learnt from my lesson. Any advice are welcome

i dont understand y ppl still go through recruit express. a simple search on google can direct u to many forum threads with thousands of post complaining about their services. yet it still survives till today and ppl continue to complaint about it.
is okay if u r too lazy to source for job on ur own... but atleast do a little search on the recruitment agency.

i think u gotta be realistic lah, Recruit Express is a boiler room telemarketing environment that recruit staff for contract, part time and junior level types. most of their "consultants" are just the typical ah beng ah lian type.

Varies from agencies to agencies, from job scope to job scope. Mind, alot of them worked well into the night and their weekends are burnt. Sure we all go home around 7pm, but its back to work after dinner when we reached home.
