What rubbish, your 'work' is in chilli padi or max brenner's is it?

I'm a UniMelb alumni as well, and had secured quite a number of interviews on coming back. All my friends are also comfortably employed (not happily though). Most are in MNCs and GLCs.

Big 4 is also a shoo-in if you're an accounting major.

Then if your future employer wants to send you abroad for work... How? Since your parents can afford it, you should grab the opportunity. It'll be a great learning experience. Uni is the best time to push yourself out of your comfort boundaries and to challenge yourself.

by the way, dont think there will be much culture shock, or much difference.. cos there's many many asians in oz.. esp in business. lots of singaporeans too. the only thing is living on ur own n being independant.

Which Uni did you graduate from? Have you ever worked in aussie before?

I agree, go overseas if u want to work there after or for the experience (new culture, new country, living on ur own etc etc), cos I have an oz degree and it was difficult for me to get a job in singapore, seems like they prefer local grads.. I still got a job though, it just took longer to find one..

Unregistered just think what you want to do after graduation. Do you want the possibility of working there after graduation? If yes, then go ahead. If you think of coming back to sg, don't waste the time and money, remain in sg as sg recoginizes either local uni cert or overseas cert.

lemzy Why do you think it would be better for me to go overseas?

I did think of Uni of Mel but I felt that its going to be a lot of distractions. I am also thinking of UQ or QUT, QUT seems to be one of the two unis that have all 3 business accreditation.
Would looking into what business accreditation a school has be one of the uni picking factors for you?
