Keep on plugging away. I graduated in 2009 July from NUS and only managed to find a job in 2010 Aug; Low supply of private jobs with countless amount of rejections; But do not give up and keep on trying. Singapore's market isn't as bad as more expansive economies out there. |

yes I am open to SMEs definitely. I did a lot of internet research on the public sector before this and I would say most of the time, they would expect an applicant to have at least second lower, or second upper in positions in MAS or the competition commission singapore, which i thought was relevant to the econs degree that I am doing, however this is of course taken at face value, i dont think what ever I learned in NUS can be directly applied to work outside. thank you for your input |

I do expect a tough time later on, a friend of mine who graduated last commencement had found a job after a few months, only to quit that job and finding another. he told me to be prepared also. But thank you to everyone, it's very kind of all of you to share your experiences |

Thank you for taking the time to reply and for providing the link. yes I know of talentconnect, that was where I applied for various internships but have been unsuccessful, you can say that after a while I became jaded. i understand that i am not a strong applicant and probably lost to the others. the rationale behind choosing specific industries was so that i had a focus on which to head to but it is not my intention to be choosy, im still open to any suitable positions. Thank you for providing some good links in this forum. |

there are some from big companies like bosch and lufthansa Jobs Detail 5946 « ******** – Singapore Internship Programs Jobs Detail 5934 « ******** – Singapore Internship Programs my advice would be don't be too fussy... don't limit yourself to FMCG, logistics and supply chain. most impt is to get some experience. nus has a internship board too. have you tried that? https://talentconnect.nus.edu.sg/car...59791201353073 |

darkstar | Hey, dun worry too much, I was also jobless for 5 months after graduating with a degree. I sent out hundreds of resumes before I fnally got an offer. This was during the Lehman brothers crisis. Just keep trying - I also dun have honours. | |
