Yea. I believe being arrowed is common regardless of where you work, however, it will be far worst in saf and those things might not value add to your resume. The idea of regulars being able to enter the dxo scheme with better remuneration and perks that are transferable from their regular scheme really put me off. Imagine having someone not knowing and without experience of the job scope coming in to become your boss just because he has been a regular last time. I too support the idea that fresh grad should seek to see the world and should not be too concerned over the salary, instead, pick up and learn something useful that will bring you far next time. Imagine being in dxo and after 10 years feeling that it is not right for you, or rather, you committed some minor offences and couldn't promote anymore...that sucks big time. There is a reason that they pay so high...

Yea. That is sooooo true. I went for the interview just for the experience and it definitely surprised me because I nv expect the job scope, title, and whatever that came along to be so different. The only thing that entice applicants is the high starting salary I'll say. however, look closely at the contract and you will know that it is kinda similar from signing on i.e. you will charge marshal law and civilian law if you commit an offence. Be mindful.

Yea...I have no idea too as to why they wanna be so secretive. But I guess that could be an excuse to lessen workload. They can use the same template over and over again, dun have to change the career portal so often; one single job advert can mean different roles within the same department or across camps within the island. In my opinion, anyone who rejected the offer once would never care to reapply again in the future after knowing same **** will happen again. I think perhaps the HR is just too confident that applicants coming for the interview will highly likely accept the offer attributing to the high starting salary. I'll say that I do have friends who do now really mind doing some mundane brainless jobs in exchange for a stable good salary. Actually, for the behavioral test during the first interview, there are already hints suggesting that the job will be mundane and is suitable for those who wanna a stable income instead of challenges. Just look carefully at the questions and you will know; e.g. (1) I prefer challenges in what I do (2) I prefer a stable job with consistent stable income and gradual progression....something like that.

Exactly! I thought I was the only person who experienced that.

Basically, they will only show you the actual job scope perhaps 10 min before the interview; you will be asked to do a written assessment that takes 1 hr and after that you will be shown the contract with the job scope and the salary package. This was the only interview that I had been shown the job scope after passing the interview instead of showing you the actual job scope before they commerce of the psychometric test. It is troublesome and time wasting in the sense that you will only discover the job scope is nowhere near what has been stated on the website and eventually rejecting the offer.

My experience; the contract shown to me was one with a different job title, job scope, and it was obvious that they added in some other 'extra job scope' at the last few lines with just a few words without clear descriptions. When I asked them the details of these additional job scope, I then realized that they were simply redundant and nth close to what you will expect. One can simply tell that the layout of the written job description is not professionally done; just like a piece of blank paper and they just simply dump in random work.

In my opinion, those who feel that they are unwilling to just forfeit this job opportunity after so much efforts would simply agree with the job scope. However, those who are looking for values and skills that could be transferred elsewhere in future careers would definitely reject. The interview is simple, just agree to the contract and highly likely you will be in.

Hello everyone. I am going to graduate from one of the local uni and have applied for the role of DXO Executive (NS Relations & Engagement).

I was wondering if anyone currently holding the position can share more about the actual job scope itself? Also, what would be the salary be like (Female, 2nd upper from local uni)?
