Unregistered Hi, I like to know if there are any prospect for system analyst or any technical specialists in government sector.
Would it be advisable to work in IT departments of banks instead?

Stay as solution architect, systems analyst or senior software engineer. Any future for such technical specialist in the long term?

Previous companies (GLC, SME, stat board) I was with were always fire-fighting with unexpected problems and issues to be addressed. IT professionals and engineers were made to handle procurements (buy and deploy hardware and infrastructure), or thrown into handling technologies with no prior training and with no clearly-defined job scope.

Do IT teams/departments in MNCs and banks have better processes in place?

Having worked for both, I'd say not necessary.
