Husky, you can start by importing a supplement and brand it well in Singapore with advertising campaigns. Once you establish a name for yourself, you can bring in more. You'll need capital.

Dear Husky,

you are partially right with what you mentioned yours is relatively similar to differentiation strategy by Michael Porter. However, you can still fight for the small piece of pie such as being a low-cost provider or focus on a particular market segment. As for pharmacist, perhaps you can focus on having good service quality like recommending the right type of products to customers and having a good pharmacist to give good prescription to consumers. That's my 2 cents worth =)

zhangfeiz Yep momojojo, got ur point and duly noted.. but there is also career prospects in cisco such senior inspector and director if im not wrong.. Don't get me wrong as im not trying to promote Cisco here in anyway but thanks for letting me know that SPRING is offering financial aid and u are right that business plan might fail. Thus, my plan was to get money on fast track and start my own investment portfolio on low risk first to generate further income. As for business wise, im actually thinking of starting something which my parents have experience in which is food and beverage industry.

What plans do u all have guys? Perhaps we can care and share here =)

momojojo hmmm... ok i'm a very "safe" kinda guy... so honestly i do feel that u should have a solid contingency plan .. like what if your business doesnt pick off? then will u still be happy in cisco? i feel that although marketing doesn't seem very prospective at entry level, at least the career progression looks better (to me) than cisco... anyways spring singapore is giving some kinda financial aid for people who plan to start their businesses but the catch is u gotta meet their criteria... can check it out... oso i fully agree with husky that it would be beneficial to get a job related to the business you wanna start... just to learn the ropes and stuff...

Whatever business you are planning to start, it would be good for you to work in the same area for a few years before striking out on your own. There are a pitfalls in every business, no matter how easy it seems.
Dear Husky,

I think you made a good point there. It is true that every business would have its own pitfall and having experience in that line would be beneficial.
I would definitely take your point into consideration. Thanks alot =)

If all you care is making fast money, be an escort if you're a hunk or babe. Else I think you can drive a taxi - the smart and hardworking ones can earn up to 5k a month.
