Unregistered | not easy being a newbie (the only one) at work. everyone places attention on you cos you are new, i have experienced it before and it can be stressful. | |

If you were half as good as you think you are, you would be in a powered industry competiting with the best and brightest of your peers instead of emo-ing over being ignored by a bunch of older and supposedly not as clever (you think) elderly colleagues. |

Just think whatever you want, go figure it out yourself when you become more clever. |

Coming to my senses I feel that as long as my manager is happy with my performance at work then I'm cool. Friends or no should not affect me too much, just be normal and let nature take it's course. Rome wasn't build in a day and trust take times to build. I believe eventually I will be able to blend into them once we know and trust each other enough. |

After looking at this long exchange my first impression is you sound very emo & sensitive easy take offence kind not used to people telling you things you don't like to hear. Maybe that's why all your colleagues not interested in talking to you? |

There won't be any chance for me to seriously mistaken to think that leaving here will solve everything. I also understand the problem could lie within me which is why I came here to post this topic to ask for advice. The least I would like you all to do now is to be more polite when giving advise and and stop typing those sarcasm and criticism remarks. |

Maybe there is office politics going on and I'm not aware or it is just happening at a very minimal. Atleast cut me some break here since this is only my first job in the corporate world and still a rookie needed time for transition. I think if in the end still cannot click so well also nvm, there are many other staffs like me who also don't have a clique and were doing just fine. I want to make friend with them is because I want to make it a better workplace and to feel enjoyable going to work everyday. If not it's very dull and boring. First few months Nv easy for me either, it's those small talks, pantry talk by asking personal questions like where u stay, u look busy, small jokes, I realize u like to wear blar blar colour.. It's hard but must try.. Yeah, I'm still trying and I think it's getting better now. How is your relationship with your colleagues and managers like? Is it so good until like how I described in my earlier post? ''What else do you want? Everyone to join you in scolding how your co, boss, colleague sux? Jeez this is pathetic. You are seriously mistaken if you think you can fix everything by changing job, the one that needs fixing is you. '' What else do I want? I only said don't ask me any more questions or keep giving criticisms. And hell you have such a shitty thinking that I would want the people here to join in and scold my colleagues and boss sux? I already stated that we don't click that well is simply because we got no common topics and interest that's all, not because of anyone sux. Ignorant for you to even make this comment, I think you need a fixing to your eye. ''Sounds ok, so what is the problem?'' The problem is I'm not a master loner like you who can view this ok, I don't expect to be very close friend with them but atleast can joke and socialise together to make the work experience better. |
