Equities research? Industry in Singapore is small and going through a down-cycle. Loads of back-ups waiting for employment be it fresh graduates or retrenched bankers. With the industry shrinking, I think chances are slim for at least next 2 years. |

Unregistered | You mean you received a job offer as a research analyst in your homeland or singapore? Or you mean you got a job offer doing something else in a research house in singapore? It's a big difference. Many people plan to pass all 3 CFA levels, but only a small % do. |

Career prospect for research analyst in financial industry I just received a job offer from a research house. Currently I am in the midst of passing CFA exam. Now I am not based in Singapore but I do have an interest to move to Singapore in the future. I plan to clear all my CFA exams before making any move. What is my chance of landing a job in Singapore in the future? Say if 1) I have 2/3 years of working experience in the industry 2) I have passed all 3 levels of CFA exams 3) I graduated from a good school What might be my exit opportunities and about how much I could ask for? |
