Amusing

Perhaps the hot chick part is true in accordance to Barcap's hiring policy. I know of someone slightly above average looking who possesses only GCE 'N' levels, and has been in Barcap as an analyst for not over 3 years. She was recently promoted to AVP (GEPS). What is their benchmark or none for that matter as long you show some skin?

Not that I'm complaining...

Is Barclay bucking the trend in IT hiring?
"Barclay", yes.
"Barclays", no. They have been and still are moving jobs to low-cost countries.

Unregistered There will be exceptions in everything. The case or cases you spoke of would be very rare but of course possible. What I was stating is the norm or in general.

Official working hour are 9am - 5 pm. No one dares to leave at 5pm (unless you have tendered). Typically people leave at 8pm when low peak and leave at 11 at peak periods.
Not true lah, I worked there before (at Atrium), many came between 9.30-10.00, took long lunch breaks (>1.5hr) and went home at 5pm sharp, some even promoted to AD (VP).
