GovTech or public service in general is not a perfect world.
Each organisation be it GT or sites has their own challenges and culture. We are hired for both our softskills and tech skills to work under such environment to help the nation. Though some of our tasks may differ in size and impact.
There may be some bad apples among us, but i think most of us are here because of good pay and the heart for public service to build a better future for the country.
I guess that mindset must be right first else maybe this job is not for you. If the mindset is right, we just need to provide feedback, try to understand the reasoning of some managemnet decisions, and do our best to deliver quality work while taking care of personal and colleagues' well being.

Yes agency lack of competency is a problem. And unnecessary circulars and compliance requirements just add to this issue. In the end, it's GovTechies who suffer.

How to compete with OGP like this? U think Mr Lee will ever allow such bureaucrat to even join OGP? Not to mention about lag in remuneration, process etc. we are ‘designed’ to be ‘disrupted’ by OGP. That’s the “reality” we got to know after yesterday. Such a good change management effort.
