Home school them yourself. See if they can become a doctor or lawyer in future, like what you're bragging about right now. |

Hyprocrite Want constructive comments and then end up stereotype all college or university students as big babies. Freaking hypocryties. Teachers really are having worst attitude, complaining for things that they think not deemed fit/ or the way they envisoned that they should be. Screw the teachers. |

I think this thread has way too many imposters and sour grapes with nothing better to do than to scour through salary forums to drop their 2 cents worth of bitterness. Let's stick to constructive comments. Anyway, for the guy who is asking what is the diff between MOE teacher and poly lecturer...there are plenty of differences. From the holidays to academic year. But paywise...it is rather similar. You guys will need to teach night classes (separate pay for that), so on average should be earning more than a normal MOE teacher. But you will also sacrifice more time because got many non-teaching related things to do. Way more than MOE teachers have. You will also have no protected time, but you will get to enjoy annual leave though it is encouraged that you do not take them during curriculum time. During holidays, must go back every day to do other projects like open house. But there's a huge possibility that much of it would be WFH too. When it comes to the kids, the poly kids these days are like big babies...so not much diff from MOE. You will have to deal with whining teens and their protective parents. It can be ridiculous at times. Source: Wife MOE teacher. Brother and best friend are poly lecturers. |
