remember the CCL signalling and rolling stock issue some years back? Whole LTA go and troubleshoot with vendors, logs taken but some top management was shocked almost whole LTA no one know how to read logs or decipher, had to throw to vendors. Whole Rail team throw face and end up need utilise DSTA engineers come in, read the logs and use algorithm to deduce it is certain rolling stock that is causing the issue. Really speaks about the capability of current crops of LTA, paper pusher with zero technical.

Honestly the WOG is becoming very very toxic because there are too many incompetent old guards trying to protect their own turfs. They will even drive out and terminate young rising stars who threaten their positions because they know they don’t have the skills to go anywhere else with their Director pay.

because it is meritocratic. You don't expect the same pay if you cocked up your 'A' levels or went the poly route which is safer. It's the same as why even amongst nus/ntu grads the scholars are always paid a few hundred bucks more.

Anyone knows if there is a pay difference between NUS/NTU vs SIT? Talked to a few colleagues and realised there is a pay disparity even though our degree is recognised by the engineering board, and nus/Ntu grads seemed to be doing the same work as us SIT grads

What’s your role. If it is RAOM, it’s just meetings with operators. Quite easy work if you don’t mind just hanging around in meetings
