jobhunter I have obtained a degree from Oxford Brooke after completing acca level 2. Really regret taking acca; so difficult to pass the papers and I ended up stopping at level 2. At least other private degrees are more valuable than the one from Oxford Brookes.

Don't waste time.. In singapore, a degree is worth more than experience.. I'm surprise after working 11 long years you had been contented drawing so low salary... Just go and get your degree immediately... With more than 10years experience and the paper qualifications.. you can easily double your pay for your next job hop...

I dun really think job scope plays a part in the salary package. Only the total time involved in these jobs that plays a part. Would you get paid 1000 to sweep the floor? easy job. I will always find the one that pays best total ($$/hr) regardless of job scope, unless its totally off my caliber.

Unregistered Auditors, with bachelor degrees, start off at BIG 4 at $2,500pm.

Typical Uni degree takes about 3-4 years. Since you are diploma with 1.5 years experience, I think you are overpaid. should be getting closer to $2.2k.

Auditors in Big 4 can be considered "front office", since their roles are closely related to the revenue streams of the company.

Your role as a finance executive is ancillary, support, "back office". Another reason to consider.

Bottom-line: Just go interview and if anyone offers you a higher pay than what you are getting = you were under paid, vice versa.

So to sum up, am i underpaid?
If yes, should i move on or stay for 1 more year?
Nobody can accurately answer this question for you, simply because none of us know the exact level of contribution you make to your company, nor the profits/revenues of your company.

Eg: Another Accounts Assistant with the same years of experience working in a Fortune 500 might make a few hundred dollars more than you doing the exact same job. Doesn't mean he/she is necessarily overpaid, could just be that person landed a job in a richer company or has better contract negotiating skills.
