How much does it costs to set up your own pte ltd company?

I am considering setting up my own consulting firm and operating from my soho. Maybe use a service office registered address. Anyone has any experience or advise re costs/pitfalls etc? Any information is most appreciated! Thanks so much!

glenndanker All this talk about the salary , why not think the other way round. How we can turn that hard earned money into more $$$$ without you working throughout your life. Haven't we hear so many talks , news about being laid off, don't need to apply after 40s. Suppose we better learn how to manage $$$$

poorbanker These IT consultants' pay make bankers' pay look paltry. I'm in the financial service industry and can proof that my pay is in the range quoted by the HH.

Husky Aiyo... don't quarrel lah... This is a forum for sharing not fighting. Whether having more money leads to greater happiness is a question that only the individual can answer for himself. But first, we gotta have more money... which is what is forum is acutally about, sharing money tips...

poor oh yes. you only will be very happy when you looking down at those poor, happy only when you felt that you have those others don't, happy when your sports car can overtake all the vehicle in town. that's surely makes you happy??

how happiness is judged ??? only those don't really know happiness thinks to have money for replacement of it. they can't find happiness except to find their account figure keeps growing.

don't be a loser

Come on. We all know this cliched and stale argument that rich people are less happy than poor people, yada yada. This argument is for losers who can't make it rich.

Now, given all other things equal, I'd rather be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy.

And how many poor and truly happy people do you know?

Money can't buy happiness, but neither can poverty.

a 4k month parent with lovely family, compare a workaholic with 10k lone ranger leaving alone for rest of his life. who you want to be?

there are no correct answer for it.
