Likely to be coincidence, Mindef calls should have displayed numbers.
Processing time is slow.
About 2-3 months from interview to job offer.

So it has been 2 weeks since. Everything was done by the hiring unit - including liaison for interviews and all. I found it strange... like my prospective colleagues would Whatsapp me using their own HP. I thought they would be using their DID to contact me. And from the looks of it - seems like a personal phone number rather than a work handphone number.
HR was not involved at all. MHRD never once contacted me.
Should I drop the team a chaser? my G50 - i am a current civil servant and i did it before so should be ok ba.

Like someone mentioned above, I don’t think this (aka clearance stuff) can be chased though. Tbh really depends on the hiring manager. Like for my case, my hiring manager was really kind enough to expedite and update me once it’s cleared.

when was your last g50 clearance done? a few years ago?
g50 clearance in reality may take a month or so to clear the pax
even if u r existing civil servant or public officer in another stat board or ministry,
will still have to be screened for the g50 nevertheless
doubt chasing MHRD folks will help because screening is done by another team?
easily need to screen with the likes of MSD, ISD and even CRO minimally for a start bah

All DXO receive monthly mobile phone subsidy and as such mobile phone is the normal comms mode.
You may need to get used to faster comms via mobile phone.

It could mean a lot of things… like maybe they intend to hire more candidate for that role, or different level of DX grade (eg hire not just for manager position but also senior manager etc). Don’t think it means rejection…. as if it’s really the case, why would they still spend the time and effort asking you to go through G50 process man.
