Yes. It should not come as a surprise. Your RO would have given you some heads up during the mid year review or earlier for you to have sufficient time to address certain AFGs.

Agreed. Sometimes, parents are in better position to take action.

Teachers should not do everything.

Teachers should do what they do best.

And let others do the rest.

Unregistered For point 2 on the vaping, apparently the same approach used against smoking is being used.

Smoking has been around for decades and vaping is likely to persist.

The soft approach is used by schools but it does not mean immunity.

Parents can always step in to take action.

I see

So this mean non teachers need to work really hard to put food on the plate while teachers can take it easy to the point of taking it for granted. Because entitled, priviledged and secured.

Teavhers job so easy and stable.

If another pandemic were to recur, similar outcomes would be expected.
The post thy you replied to really exposes the Singaporean entitlement mentality. The Singapore education system was one of the few systems globally that adapted well to the covid pandemic. Even the much praised Scandinavian systems struggled to provide a good education. But Singaporeans continue to slam Singapore while praising the Scandinavians to the high heavens. It's really sad that Singaporeans don't value what they have but always think that Singapore is bad.

A lot of this is likely the opposition supporters fault who are conditioned to go "Singapore bad" in everything because of their irrational political beliefs.

Not for Jun and esp Dec. Most teachers will switch off entirely in dec and then there's a mad rush on first week of term 1 to do all the prep work that they've putting off.

Every sch has different practice with regard to PVT.

The person asking this qn is unlikely to be asking in good faith. Very possibly a troll who just wants to pin down a big number of “leave” days so they can continue to criticise fellow teachers / the service. These online trolls don’t have context of our continuous work streams/work pieces like national exam duties, IP and non IP planning (eg SOWs), CCA and CCD duties. Hence let’s continue to ignore the trolls.
