You got a head start over the dip holder! Degree is supposed to be more rigourous and you are supposed to be more skilled as a result of it. It also signals your better ability to learn. Have you stopped learning after you graduated?
So what if he is just a dip holder. If he keep on learning, taking on courses, clinching deals, then he brings more value.
“Why work so hard to get a degree?” It just gives you a head start in early career. Degree is not hard anyway. Dean’s lister here lol. You think get degree already then set for life and no need to work hard and continue learning? Lol
Heard of tortoise and the hare?
Anyway you loser la. Got headstart still lose. Resign is good. Good riddance of you jiak liao bee entitled

Well said, sir. Poster from post #37 too the same mindset. Probably work in ST Engineering or similar environment as I saw such kind of posts many years back. No degree means no promotion. I don't care how much you value add, bring profit to the company. No degree means nothing. Otherwise, why i spend money and time to get a degree.
This kind of mentality is freaking useless in a competitive workforce environment.
Company A getting higher profit margin than Company B due to better product and services offered as an example.
Specialized certificates for the work role / industry you are in is a much better way to go.
If you dont have a degree or diploma but have a specialized cert in the role you are applying. You should be able to perform with the knowledge that you have. Constant self improving ain't easy but worth in the long run. Unless you want to go for a retirement mode. Stagnant income and lack ambitions.

Confirmation after probation period

Sad but degrees are getting useless since almost everyone has one. That's not even counting how foreigners have degrees AND years of experience while being the same age as you.

Why not? Then why do you take a degree? For show only?

I feel so helpless, imagine being beaten by a dip holder in promotion. And the HR even had the cheek to tell me that MNCs don't work in my way. They talk about value add but if every company work in their way, then what's the point of getting a degree?

I agree with you.
If any diploma or ITE holder can promote faster than a degree holder, what is the point of spending so many years taking my degree?
Work performance should never surpass the degree. If you don't have a degree then nothing you do should make a difference. Nowadays degree is so easy to take. These people should stop being so lazy.
