But I think we have to be clear what type of FP&A you’re working on, for example, retail? Financial? Property?

And where’s your acc deg from?
Are you fresh grad?

Without audit background, or professional services background, it might be painful later on

CA or CFA

I am currently in a FP&A role without prior working experience in audit. Also, as my employer does not sponsor for the CA, I have not taken the SQP papers. I am considering if I should take the papers but I will have to pay for the costs and am concerned if my experience will qualify given that it is not traditional accounting/reporting work. Another consideration is to take the CFA paper as I am interested to jump to investment related roles if there is available opportunity. Similarly, I will have to pay for the costs too.
