Aibel I heard that this oil and gas company Aibel ptd ltd hire people on contract claim industry downturn, but pays Indians higher and offer them permanent positions.Increments are not based on promotion and some departments all get increase of hundreds but other staff get $50. Engineers are paid lower than designers, which is absurb. And the young engineers from NUS and NTU are paid $3000 with six years experience and company claims salary freeze because of industry downturn.Indians are paid higher and referred to company by the department heads who are mostly Indian. And they still take part in NTU job fair this year hiring trainee engineers, I heard a lot of previous trainees left without staying for two years. MOM should check such company, cutting Singaporean graduate salary and HR offering foreigners high salaries |

Been through banking 2.5 years and oil & gas 3 years. 100 pa by 10th year is definitely achievable. High pay may mean longer hours. Oil&gas has better work life balance based on my experience. |

Page 3 onwards has been completely useless in giving advice. Just busy whining about their current low pay/how govt mistreat them. 200k after 9 year? What's the break down? Personally, I support the author. It is way too slow moving for me in terms of salary increment. But the more important question is how you jump from EM to FO. No FO would want EM engineer, unless you got some additional degree (double degree/masters etc.) |

Unregistered | Already making that off my passive income. Intending to use my salary to pay off the 2 cars that will be delivered sometime this week after getting COE last week. I don't know how my boss will feel when I come to work after the National Day long weekend with a bigger car than his. I may have to park lower down in the basement carpark to avoid awkward situations. | |
