Nobody wants a single dept to rule over them all. Life is already hard enough with all the bereaucracy and red tape.

But for consistency across depts shouldn’t there be some central body overseeing common databases and systems used within the whole org, no? If not who will coordinate the decentralised units to prevent communication silos developing
