For someone quite new to construction industry safety & environment related positions should be about 3.5 to 3.8k bah. Some of the older more experience ones can reach 4k+.
7k is common in certain industries. But I always tell people I earn less. So take what you hear with a pinch of salt.

Unregistered Stick to your job in NEA if you are interested in environmental work.

ECO is just a supervisor level job in charge of tying up loose ends at a construction site. Things like noise complaints, rubbish clearing, mosquito breeding, toilets, worker's hygiene. No career progression and your pay is subject to pressure from FTs who are ever willing to take lower pay than you. Your work also won't be appreciated and you are viewed as a cost liability to your company who would rather not have you around if not for HDB and LTA's requirements.

Fresh without exp. about 3k. Experienced at most 4.5k. 6 day work week.

I have never heard of local U engineering grad working as ECO. Is the economy that bad?

2 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in the manufacturing industry for my 1st job, followed by 2 years in NEA as a Environment Executive. Took up a course in ECO and got my certification and registered with NEA as an ECO.

How much is the basic salary range that I can ask for an ECO with regards to my experience? I am aware that a WSH officer can command $5-7k a month but wondering if ECO could be around the same or much lesser?
hi i am same age as you, grad in 2007 ntu(mech).

Just some question abt NEA,
what does Environment Executive do? >>tough job or easy job but boring?
