You’re lucky they adjusted the difference for second lower and second upper for the newer batches.

thankfully my friends and I got offered with second lower. despite the slight difference in pay with fch, second upper, i guess a starting pay close to 6k is better than anything else i can get as a mech eng student with second lower

As a fellow 2nd lower honours with 9-10 YOE, my advice is you got to manage your expectations because we do get left out of adjustments and increments. You can work hard and perform better than your 2nd upper peers this year but an adjustment to their salary can reset it again.
