You know you're underpaid when even fresh grads with no certs are getting >4 5k in public sector tech agencies (govtech, csa, dsta, htx), which are alr notorious for below market salary.

more like when it comes to certain tools (e.g. nmap vs zenmap), the prof will encourage u to use nmap over zenmap. as for nessus and cobalt strike, if you have a license because of your part-time work outside of school, good for you because other students can't afford it😂
