In cyber-security field for around 10 years. I make $600k SGD per annum in FAANG. Let me know if you have any questions. It can be done, you have to believe it and put in everything you have got to it. Local and have served my national service.

You are doing a huge disservice encouraging people to sign on. DIS have enough Cannon fodder with its NSFs. Not local 2:1 degree don't bother with anything related to G. You sound very knowledgeable with regards to DIS, then perhaps you should know the sentiments from within the service with people who change mid career to cyber from Red.

No need to be so depressed just because of lack of information. The SAF set up an entirely new Serviced for this area and it is called DIS.
The pay scales are similar to the rest of the Services.

Yes very dead just like the current job market unless you aim for SMEs/low tier companies that pays < 4k for fresh grads. SWE still pays more than cyber. If you wanna do cyber be prepared to continually to learn for the rest of your career unless you do GRC.
