Tech > Engineering.
To the OP, go search for what companies are good to work for on Glassdoor. I assume you are targeting engineering companies, so just look out for the big brand names that are offering positions within the field of expertise.
I'd personally avoid SMEs and GLCs unless you are super desperate.
