For context, I have 15 years' work experience of which about 5 in healthcare lab. Last drawn S$4K so I'll be taking a paycut but I just went ahead with the interview since the job market is dry.

1. May I know if the job is as lax as people say?
2. The HOD said the career progression will be towards Senior STEM Instructor. Does anyone know what's the job grade and the salary ceiling?
3. I've already went for two interviews with HQ and a school and they told me I've gotta wait for 4 weeks for an interim update after I submitted HR on my job history. It's now my third week and I'm already getting anxious about the progress. No medical checkup request yet. I understand HR is really busy. Just to alleviate my worry before deciding to restart my jobsearch: am I right to assume no news is good news? The vibes I had with the school interviewers were very good - the HOD already showed me around the labs and the lab staff and they're eager ready to take me in.

Timeline:
Dec '24: Applied via Careers@GOV
end Jan '25: Shortlisted for HQ Interview
11 Feb '25: HQ Interview
5 Mar '25: Received call from school for their interview
12 Mar '25: School Interview. VP and HOD said I can eMail them of my interest if I wanna join them. eMailed them the same day.
14 Mar '25: HR requested for job history update and ask to wait another four weeks.

Third week in and waiting 🤗

Thank you!😁
