All government agencies and ministries will ask for previous payslip, cannot siam one. If you dont give, it is likely they will reject you because there are other candidates who are willing to submit and you not willing to submit definitely will let people suspect your honesty.

Some staff don't dare to ask cause Asian culture is don't want to appear hard-up for promo or scared boss shoot back "what about your work output deserves promotion?"

Some boss don't want to say cause they scared something might go wrong once the promotion approval goes through the levels of bureaucracy , so they don't want to give you hope unnecessarily just incase.

The bigger problem is alot of people are expecting promotion to be given on a platter nowdays. What happen to the days of actually getting promoted cause you really delivered output and hence are getting rewarded. Nowdays is I join this year, can get promoted next year or not? Don't understand.the mindset.

it could happen that newbies promote very fast. one such example is VV. but not sure whether VV is promoted because of her capability or some close relationship

Agree. Boss doesn't know what A is doing behind her back since A is a good actress.

You shouldn't have accept to join as AD since you have so many years experience. HR bluff you. Hope that you can promote soon to DD. Else go for better opportunities
