Waiting a few months is common for govt and govt related companies.

Many of these job vacancies are ghost jobs aka standby jobs.

The HR is merely keeping the vacancies alive in case people resign/fall sick/retire.

Unfair psa hiring

Waiting over two months for a response is unusual, especially when HR isn’t particularly busy. They might not be extending an offer for various reasons. According to Glassdoor, some candidates have been rejected due to factors like a renovation loan, and I personally experienced radio silence, possibly due to unrelated health concerns—which is unfair given it has no bearing on the role I applied for.

For PSA, stop giving false hope and making candidates wait endlessly, expecting them to follow up for an offer letter. Please make decisions wisely on your end, or at least provide a follow-up response. We are all human trying to make a living out of ourselves and putting rice on the table. SO be HUMAN.

Unregistered The waiting is common.

And it is in terms of months.

HR is very busy.

Too many applicants.

Been told to be patience on the clearance. Just unsure if it is common to wait this long
