Micron may be paying better with OT. I have friends in Micron with insanely high OT pay so they probably get twice of their base.
However, as you "jump ship", the next company might offer slightly higher than 3.4k offered in Micron because of anchoring bias. Hence, your 3.8k in ST might land you a better pay next job.

That is a good point. I think the OT pay also can help to bridge the gap.

I had applied for a number of them but no interviews/offers. Alot of my peers have the same issue.
