So you want to do some touchy feely job and have no clue what you want (except don't want to add value for boss and co.) and come to some random forum to ask for "ideas"? Suggest you go wake up your idea first, people who are truly prepared to forsake financial gains for some noble cause will never ask this kind of c0ck question in the first place. |

hi sir, you did not state your course of studies. so it's difficult to advise u. what i can share is, corporate organisations are profit-oriented. they expect u to work on niche areas and contribute to positive cash flow. making a positive influence like what u've described is last on their priorities. even being a doctor has its own politics. there's always a bad sheep within a group. i've hear of stores whereby even doctor can declare patients as having cancer for no reason, and then sending them off to expensive chemo sessions. pls don't quote me, but please do your own research. if you wan to help society, i suggest u: 1) take on charity work. 2) work in government sector. for example, join the army and protect our nation and people. i'll be more than ever grateful. |

Meaningful career options Hi! I am an undergraduate currently exploring career options. I am looking at career options in which one is able to add values to other people lives (not my boss or company!). I want my work to make a positive difference to others. In addition the career is also financially rewarding (example doctor). Do you guys have any suggestions or ideas what are some career paths that are as described? Thanks! |
