This is true, but they don't realize that if that they could have just joined the firm from the start and progress, earning much higher salary, reputation, and less working hours by doing so.
This isnít true unless youíre in the mnc graduate programs. If you join straight out of uni as a direct hire in their finance team youíre 100% not gonna do well. Graduate associates > big 4 auditors > lifers.

Audit vs Tax

So much negatives about audit. How about tax? Are they the same in terms of working hours and pay progression? Which one better?

Unregistered Anyone know how much is the starting pay for strategy associate at EY-P? And is there any signing bonus? Thanks

Unregistered Why do people still want to join big 4 audit at this day and age...

So long working hours and crappy pay. The only positive about this is that everyone in the company is in this crap together.

Alot of my friends trying to consol themselves, say salary increment very fast. But their salary 5 year later is the same as the starting salary for banks (even local ones), which doesn't even require that amount of OT.

Does the job give you useful skills or meaningful experience? Not particularly. So much time wasted due to client issues, unproductive due to long working hours, menial audit tasks etc.

If you truly care for your future, don't join big 4 audit
