That's only for the miserable local Singaporeans who have never been out of Singapore before. People from other countries go to Singapore and like what they see and have lots of children.

May I ask why you insinuate that I am crazy for even considering a move to SG?

Politics aside, SG seems like a first world country with amenities that are often lacking in the rest of the world. But, I may be seeing SG through rose-tinted glasses, so please share the dark side of SG that I may not be considering.

I assume MMed is a prestigious degree? I am trained under a different system which doesn't offer this so I have no clue -- either board-certified or non-board-certified.
with your achievements, i am sure SG will welcome you.

Just trying to obtain more informal information on the side before I reach out to the HR departments in hospitals who may have other interests.
And U think an anonymous forum will provide U with accurate information?

There is very good work life balance in Singapore and many opportunities for investment outside of work.

You will not go wrong if you go to Singapore. Your kids will also thank you for providing them with a world class education and very safe and fulfilling childhood. Singapore is the best country in the world to raise children.

Do most outpatient physicians work 5.5 days a week?

Where did you train? North America?

Sounds like Singapore is the best place for you. I hope you move back to Singapore.

You are crazy.
It is like a Singaporean saying they are MMed and want to move abroad.
Same issues.
If you really need to move maybe write to the hospital department heads and ask if they want you.
