Average time in a job now? Many years ago if you moved around jobs you were called a job hopper, but now it appears to be the norm to do a few jobs in a lifetime. I was wondering, what is the average time spent in a job these days? Is it 1-2 years, 3-4, or 5-6 years, or more? And how does this change as you get older and less employable? What is a typical age to stop thinking about changing jobs anymore? For me, I started working late, and have done 3 jobs so far. Time spent in each is 2.5 years / 1 year / 5 years. |
