Upskill and re-skill

New graduates and mid-career switchers looking to enter a new industry or start a career that is unrelated to their past accumulated work experience should also adjust their salary expectations. Even though they may be taking home a lower salary, they would be able to acquire new skills and gain experiences. Progression in Career

Hi guys,

I would like some tips/suggestions on how to progress after a career switch. I was from a Science Diploma which hopped into IT. I was employed as an IT Technician but my job scope does not really cover much of IT at SME with 10-20 employees. I do some basic IT troubleshooting and also many other stuffs such as finance etc. however, I feel that I don't learn much as compared to having a proper technical support job. I know that they gave me a chance on a career but right now, 1 year in, I am not sure whether I should find a company that makes me learn more of IT?
