No, please do not take MCs as and when you feel you like it. I am one such teacher who tries to go to school everyday even though I am not feeling well, provided it is not contagious. Reason is because I don't like to catch up with what the relief teacher can't fulfilled and the marking becomes a nightmare when they did not teach properly. I rather go to work and endure until school dismissal, then go home earlier to rest. Also, when you take MC like nobody's business. Sometimes, when I endure and go to school, I still have to take over somebody's class as a relief teacher. Please think of it as a whole organisation, be kind to your colleagues. Unless, one time day, CISCO and AETOS can take over as relief without additional work load from other teachers who dutifully report to work. |

just checking, for the forced rotation of senior KPs, do the 8 years of occupation include internal rotation within the same school? or does it refer to 8 years within 1 role only? e.g. HOD for 2 to 3 years then rotate to YH for 2 to 3 years. will the duration reset? or total years will be counted as long as within same school? |

expose on mothership, probably the whole world will be on you. this forum is so full of misinformation that outsiders take everything stated here with a pinch of salt. only those who know, would know. the use of fear mongering even on anonymous forums reflects how certain individuals are so keen to promote toxic culture in school environment. |

Unregistered | No the doctor didn't have to risk anything. All individuals, including educators, possess the entitlement to utilize sick leave as necessary, irrespective of the veracity of their ailment. Such speculations regarding the authenticity of illnesses or alleged financial inducements to medical professionals are unwarranted as it mainly undermine the foundation of trust within the workplace. Plus to evaluate or judge an individual's efficacy based on their medical absences is purely unjust. Performance assessments should be predicated on job duties and accomplishments, rather than health-related factors. Cultivating an environment that embraces and supports the health requirements of colleagues is paramount in nurturing a workplace culture that values well-being. However, our MOE schools, SLs, KPs and teachers mindsets are way far from that culture. | |

Most doctors will just give MCs. Just look at your students, and how easily they can get MCs. |
