Unregistered 1. How possible is it for a computing undergrad to move into finance like portfolio/asset management? Or are there any roles within front office that does analytics?

2. I understand that a CFA would be the best bet for a non-finance grad to enter, so my question is how long of a preparation is needed for someone without finance background to pass CFA Level 1? Also is this worth it? Or will companies actually pay employees to take the paper. (The last time I ever touched finance was in poly)

Thanks in advance!

MilkyFloor What do you like most? Try to make a little research and check yourself in both spheres. You can pass several courses on that. There is no need to start an education if you would not like it. There was the same situation when I was choosing a new language to learn. I picked up 3 languages at Preply and started to learn them Then I realized I like French most and now I am still in it.

Unregistered Sorry to hijack but would you guys recommend joining tech or finance for a fresh grad next year? My skillset is kinda in between. People say finance side might start lower than tech but the progression is better. Any thoughts?

hedging their bets because of the situation in hk. makes no sense to just have back office and investor relations here--it's neither cheap nor where LPs are concentrated. so there will most likely be IPs based here.

Unregistered hello fresh grad here, would taking CFA or CAIA be better if I intend to cross over into the hedge fund/VC industry?
