As a someone who has been in the recruitment industry for so long, the truth is that NUS / NTU still takes up most of the pie in terms of the "prestigious management associate programmes" you speak of.

Unregistered as a grad from SMU, i really enjoy the fact that NTU does not prepare their graduates well for the workforce in terms of helping them realize what kind of career they want.

this allows us SMU grads to win the competition in terms of knowing where and when to apply for prestigious management associate programmes.

i would give it a shot if it's a desirable role with a potential of conversion.

usually you should be converted as your colleagues get familiar and comfortable with you. plus they spent months teaching you stuff.
