Unregistered you have to know that most of these jobs are going to be replaced by automation and hundred of thousands people working in bank sector have been retrenched since last year. recession might also hit soon. dont be fixated on a specific career. widen your horizon. try for other admin positions in other industries as well. ofc don't pick industries that you feel that you are not comfortable/suited with. i mean its your choice and preference at the end of the day. but im saying this so that you would soon land on a job my friend and then slowly once you gain the experience you need you can easily join banking sector. but for now take my advice for this year and next year avoid finance and banking sectors. good luck.

Now I am trying for admin contract roles... but this one seems to be "foreigners favourite" as well so it is extremely competitive. I went two UOB bank associate interviews last week and did not hear anything back. So depressing man.

8 years experience in non financial role

I was working in advertising agencies locally before joining the bank 2 years ago. Found the transition smooth and hassle free.

Unregistered You can try those that specifically states " no experience are welcome to apply". If you have at least a diploma, can try branch officer role as well. If anything lower, i'm afraid u have to apply branch teller role if u dont mind. Those will usually hire some sgps rather than all foreigners. You will have an edge if you can speak fluently in dialect or mother tongue, not just English. Bigger foreign banks usually prefer experienced candidates

There are some openings now and try to apply.
