Unregistered How interesting. May I know your age?

Generally people of my age group (20s) are looking for the management path, commercial evaluation side, rather than technical.

For material science or engineering, look out for major engineering/manufacturing firms. The semi-con, petro-related, pharmaceutical are top manufacturing industries in Singapore.

You will probably join the fixed equipment team, rather than quality control though

Good one. I feel that the person is sick of leadership track and wants to go into specialist.

Many of my colleagues are like that too, work offers them zero satisfaction to manage people. For the same salary they rather solve problems and give the manager black face.

Whatever your aspiration, decide early. Its terrible to do leadership very late, then be stuck as a lower manager... Those are the most difficult. Quickly squeeze your way up to SM or AD then cruise all the way to retirement.

I have reevaluated my career and I've decided to find a job that allows me to learn a technical skill in a specific field. I am willing to learn the technical skill through training from scratch. I am keen on Quality Control. I have a degree in Materials Engineering. Can anyone refer me to a job that is technical in nature? Pls PM me. Thank you for your help.
