go for it, even with the new P, it is still the same people at the ranking panel pushing the blame to you

Unregistered Teachers have a hard time and some think otherwise.

It is more than dealing with students.

You will need to deal with parents, peers, support staff and superiors.

Pte tutors have more focused jobs.

Compare this to other jobs where you might be required to solve new problems in a short period of time, with no fixed solutions, and small mistakes might get you into serious trouble. Hence, MOE teacher might have to work long hours, but the work itself is not difficult since it is pretty repetitive and dosent require much innovative or creative thinking since all problems already comes with model solutions.

The hardest part of teaching imo, is having to deal with difficult and problematic students, especially if you teach in neighbourhood schools. Any opinions about this statement from current MOE teachers?
For people who genuinely find this job easy because they have a strong set of all the necessary competencies, we need you. Join us. For you it's an easy job for decent pay (it's especially decent if you get consistently high performance grades and are identified for talent management programmes).

You throw this sort of veiled criticism in a teacher forum. Someone ask if you speak from experience or perception. Then you get defensive and ask if they have worked private sector.

But, no one was comparing MOE to private sector roles until you jumped in. Nor is such a topic particularly fruitful. People can vote with their feet: if you think MOE offers a wonderfully stable and comfortable job, apply, join the service. HR is always recruiting.

And then you can speak from experience.

I can ask you back the same question, so what makes you think private sector jobs are easier than MOE teacher? Have you worked in the private sector before?

Unregistered I just resigned from MOE

Teaching was okay, students and preparing for national exams is ok.

What drained me was all kinds of admin, meeting, parents demands, school leaders pandering to all the demands..
