I was in ntu admin for 2 years & fully agree, its very slow and laid back env which everyone just sop rot till retire mentality. The salary increase and promotion opp is also very limited.

But having said that if you cant find anything in civil service or mnc, its still better than joining those local sme. Local sme pay the same shiit level but expect u to work ur asss off. At least in uni/poly u go off on time and can tea break whenever u want.

Say, a Student Services Officer or Admissions Officer role. What are the future prospects and career progression like? Is it possible to jump to private sector in the future? Thanks.

Considering an offer from a local polytechnic. Wondering whether to accept it.
