Worst xompany ever

Do not join Optimum.

This is the worst comoany to join ever.
They will bend any contract to their liking.

Their clients are the worst especially Elite Logistics.
They make you work without pay or off in lieu.

Beware of joining.

ex-employee Worst company I’ve come across. Please never join (for your own good).
People from my batch regretted their decision due to the unfair contractual agreements. The HR is not responsive for your concerns when you’re at client site. The account managers may act like they care but all in all, they treat all the ‘graduate trainees’ as cows that they milk money from. And they gon squeeze u dry.
The whole practice is disgusting and unethical. I’ve met sooo many people in banks that are stuck there because of such ‘body shopping’ organizations.
Contract states that after the first 2 weeks of ‘training’, any intent to quit, u will need to pay 3 months salary back to the company. If there were certification during training, it would be reasonable. Problem is the training that they provide has totally nothing related to the job scope that I am doing now.
So, utterly disgusted by their practice… even the people that I work with at the banks are in disbelief that im bounded by such contracts.
So, please learn from my mistake. And DON’T JOIN OPTIMUM.

Unregistered Its a contract based sort of services where you have to go through rounds of interviews with their clients and depending on their clients, decide whether to hire you and thereafter. Mainly works with financial industry and I believed its a collaboration with IMDA (from IMDA website with CLT)

Heard that it provide some form of training before you get posted out, but the nature of the role is too unpredictable. Would only recommend if you are prepared and ready for the environment and job available to you. Would be better off if you are able to get direct hired into other companies rather than this contract based job

Unregistered It's 2.8 during the training period (first 6 months), 3.3K thereafter.

Unregistered Some say 3.3k some say 3.5k. During training 2.8k

The graduate trainee programme is just 3 to 6 months IT training. Most of which you already learnt in university if you study Computer Science. Java, Web Development, SDLC stuffs

Followed by being assigned to a project at 1 of its client company.

I would see them as a last resort choice as practically nobody I knew failed an interview there. It might be a good choice too if you are from a non IT background.

Unregistered Golden rule always apply - If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

You should know yourself is roughly at what level, if you're just an average Joe and some guy conduct 1 simple interview and straight away offer you graduate trainee then 99.99% is a con job.

Unregistered They are an IT outsourcing HR services company. The Boss himself is from South Asia. The ENTIRE HQ in Changi is staffed by FT from South Asia. Maybe "ENTIRE" is the wrong word here, because they do have a few (as in, less than 5) local staff, excluding "New Citizens from South Asia". They do need to fulfill local work quotas, so what happens is almost all of their local staff are contracted to their customers. The plum HQ jobs are mostly taken up by FT from South Asia. Perhaps South Asia FTs always outperform local staff there?

The FTs inside are very good at politics, and always try to claim credit for work done by others. Good luck to you.
