I think you've got bigger problems than finding a job.

That's why I hope to do an MBA from INSEAD, I'm hoping I'll get a good job which will pay me as much as my friends after the MBA.
Anyway from your answer, I can feel you are not genuine. You seem to be a joker here trying to stir Singaporean feelings against foreigners. I dont know whats your agenda but you deserve nothing short of being flame by others in this forum.

Sorry to burst your bubble. There is a good reason why your friends are making 2.5x of what you make and it is not because of the MBA. It's because IB/consulting work is demanding and they have no work-life balance. (Well, not as much as you would like to have anyway.) You can either have your cake or eat it; you can't have both. The sooner you price yourself back to reality the better. The fact that the bank is moving your job offshore suggests that you are overpriced for your function. Either you chase and go where the jobs are, or you settle for less.

Like what we say in trading, you can choose to leave an offer that is way above market, just don't keep asking why no one has come to lift you...

Flip it the other way, if you were such an attractive asset, there would have been plenty of bids for you and you would have easily traded to a new job already.

Either that or you can become an investment banker/consultant too. Your friends can show you how to become one.

Oh, NCS won't be paying you $100,000 either.

Well thats them and not you. In your case you are in trouble now and you still expect the luxury of demanding that future employees still pay you the amount u deserve? You kidding me?

I would rather higher 2 fresh graduates with first class honours to do your work or some one with lesser yrs of exp but at a lower salary. Btw YOU are a COST CENTER not a revenue generator like the sales and marketing.

I had seen other foreigners drawing less than you but surviving pretty well here and yes they bring their entire family along. If they can do that why not you? I think the problem lies in your mentality and I hope you start changing your behavior because this is the kind of attitude that invites Singaporean's disgust against foreigners

then i suggest you either lower your standard of living or go home. cause it's people like you who create the neverending cycle of an increasing cost of living for us still in singapore. if there is a demand, the prices will still go up.
