so meaning i shouldn't consider it part of my pay package? just an additional bonus the company is 'kindly' giving me... considering the fact that i am not able to claim OT le... which I do quite a lot btw...

yah, i will need to manage some junior technologist under my current position which will be the first time doing managerial work... so i guess it will look better on my resume?
500 transport allowance is actually a fair bit considering you are not in a sales related role?

Take note that those lab techs in NUS, NTU are usually old timers > 30 years working there. Not sure what management are you going to be talking about.

1) do not leave for lower pay unless your current position is made redundant or is UNBEARABLE. It's like taking two steps back!

2) NUS is not exactly a commercial institution, ie., it does not exist for profit, your pay is not going to go up much further without promotion!

3) Private Sector companies are always much more well regarded by prospective hiring managers and head hunters.

Be patient, your next opening will come sooner than you think.
but transport allowance is not really part of my package isn't it? everyone in my company gets it (same amount somemore)... even the most junior staffs (diploma or ITE grads), even upper management gets it... my base is still $3.2k...

or should I really include my transport allowance?

don't think nus is looking for talents with the salary they paying for executives... but then again, heard that nus is very stable and hopefully no cut throat colleagues like what im having here....
